The Root Chakra, Muladhara, is the first or the base chakra. When the root chakra is out of balance, there is a sense of instability, family wounds, fear, and being out of touch with basic survival needs (food, shelter, etc). When the root chakra is in balance, we can connect to nature and move with the natural flow of life.
